School Information
Hello and welcome to Clarendon School.
We are a successful and highly inclusive Special School meeting the needs of pupils aged 4 to 16 with Moderate Learning Difficulties, many of whom have additional complex needs including autism. We proudly believe that Clarendon is "a place of learning for everyone".
We currently operate across three wonderful sites: our Primary Centre in Hampton, our Secondary Centre in Twickenham, and our highly inclusive Gateway Centre based in Whitton. Like all thriving schools, we are growing together and have exciting plans for the future. In September 2026, we will be opening our brand-new Clarendon Riverside Centre in Petersham, expanding our capacity and extending our outstanding provision to young adults up to age 19.
Our ambitious curriculum is carefully designed to meet the unique profiles of our learners. It remains flexible so we can provide bespoke learning opportunities that focus not only on academic achievement—offering pathways to Entry Level and Functional Skills qualifications — but also heavily emphasise independence, communication, and essential life skills.
Our staff brings a wealth of experience, working seamlessly to provide a nurturing, total communication environment. With the support of the Auriga Academy Trust, we work closely with colleagues and integrate academic, social, and therapeutic curricula to ensure our learners have access to a wide range of embedded specialists, including occupational and speech and language therapists.
We have high expectations of everyone at Clarendon School, and we firmly believe that by working together in close partnership with home and school, we can provide an exceptional education for all our learners. We provide a safe and nurturing environment that encourages challenge and rewards learners who try something new.
With the skills, knowledge, and resilience learned over their time at Clarendon School, our students will leave fully prepared for their next steps in education or employment, ready to play a meaningful part in society.
