Clarendon School Fund

Schools everywhere are facing significant funding pressures. Rising costs and static or decreasing budgets mean that it is increasingly difficult to provide the enriching opportunities and additional resources that help pupils thrive. These are often the areas hit hardest, yet they are the very things that make school an inspiring and enjoyable place for our children.

To help protect these opportunities, we have a Clarendon School Fund made up of voluntary contributions from parents and carers.  This fund supports workshops, special events, software, classroom resources, and equipment — the “extras” that go beyond the basics and make a real difference to our pupils’ experience.

The School Fund gives you the opportunity to make either a one-off donation or a regular contribution that suits your budget. We are very aware of the many financial pressures on families, so we are genuinely grateful for anything you feel able to contribute. Your support really does make a difference to what we can offer our students.

Thank you very much for your generosity and for being part of the Clarendon community. For further information, please see below.

CAN I GIFT AID MY PAYMENT?

Academy trusts, as exempt charities, are eligible to claim Gift Aid on voluntary donations made by UK taxpayers.  Gift Aid allows the Trust to reclaim the basic rate of income tax on donations for all schools within the Trust, effectively increasing the value of eligible donations by 25% at no extra cost to the donor.  For every £1 you donate, we can get an extra 25p from HMRC at no extra cost to you. Find out more on the GOV.UK website: https://www.gov.uk/donating-to-charity/gift-aid.

If you are a UK taxpayer please email the school office at info@clarendon.richmond.sch.uk to receive a Gift Aid form.  Please complete the form and return it to info@clarendon.richmond.sch.uk who will forward it on to the Trust finance team.  Alternatively complete the form using the Google link https://forms.gle/zrqvMnecDac7fLV37.

HOW MUCH SHOULD I CONTRIBUTE?

This is up to you and depends on your personal circumstances.  For regular monthly contributions, we suggest between £10 and £20 per month, but we ask those parents and carers who can afford it to give more please.

If you are a UK taxpayer, we politely request a minimum monthly donation of £10 or a minimum one-off donation of £50 to keep the administration of the Gift Aid scheme justifiable.  However, we are very grateful for any amount you can give via the non-Gift Aid account.

WILL MY CHILD BE AFFECTED IF I CANNOT PAY?

The donation is voluntary and confidential; not making a payment will not affect your child in any way.

Thank you for supporting Clarendon School.
